About Us

The Beat 139 Foundation is rooted in the vibrant culture and rich history of Harlem, where it all began with a visionary podcast. Founded by Kareem “Doc” Louallen and Vernon “Donveto” Boisseau, The Beat 139 started as a platform to amplify voices and inspire success. Doc, a natural storyteller, and Donveto’s marketing and entrepreneur expertise, combined their talents to create a podcast that quickly resonated with audiences, featuring notable guests: Radio Host Lenny Green, Trap Queen Aisha Hall, Actor Ty Jones, Author Ms. Tee “Harlem Heroin(e): My Love Affair With Harlem Street Life And The Men Who Ruled It”, Attorney, Sanford Rubenstein, New York City Mayor Eric Adams

As The Beat 139 grew in popularity, with over 575,000 cumulative radio listeners in the Atlanta Metro Area and a YouTube channel boasting over 14,400 subscribers and 3 million views, it became clear that the impact of their work extended far beyond the airwaves. Recognizing the need to actively support and uplift their community, Doc and Donveto founded The Beat 139 Foundation.
