The Beat 139 Foundation is deeply embedded in Harlem’s lively culture and rich heritage, where an innovative podcast first emerged. Created by Kareem “Doc” Louallen and Vernon “Donveto” Boisseau, Doc, an innate storyteller, teamed up with Donveto, a committed entrepreneur skilled in marketing and artist management, to establish The Beat 139 Podcast, https://www.thebeat139.com/, which turned in to a significant platform for amplifying voices and inspiring success that quickly connected with audiences and featured many prominent guests from New York City.
As The Beat 139 gained traction—achieving over 575,000 total radio listeners in the Atlanta Metro Area, along with more than 14,400 YouTube subscribers and 3 million views—it became evident that their influence extended beyond the airwaves. Aware of their responsibility to uplift the community, Doc and Donveto launched The Beat 139 Foundation to enhance the lives of young adults through podcasting and community involvement.
The Beat 139 Foundation’s mission is “Breaking Through Barriers: One BEAT at a Time.”. We provide essential resources, support, and opportunities that foster personal and community growth, creating an environment where everyone can achieve their dreams.
Our key programs include BEAT: Beat the Streets (BTS), a podcasting training program, and BEAT Community Care (CC), which uplifts and supports our community by addressing needs that may not be met by government services.
The vision of the Beat 139 Foundation is a future where everyone, regardless of background, can access the resources needed to thrive. We believe that additional support empowers our voices and strengthens communities through the transformative power of shared stories and collective support.

Vernon “Doveto” Boisseau is the CEO of Vernon Boisseau Marketing (VBM) and co-founder of The Beat 139 Podcast, a native of Harlem. Vernon’s self-made success story is a testament of his 25 years of entrepreneurial experience across diverse industries such as fitness, cosmetology, and entertainment. His initial venture, Cuts Galore I”nc., a thriving unisex beauty salon, marked his entry into the business world. Vernon’s dynamic career also includes managing artists through Kick Bak Entertainment LLC before the rise of social media and later expanding into fitness and event promotion. Recently, he co-founded The Beat 139 Podcast, which has become Harlem’s leading podcast and is loved for its extensive social media presence. Vernon’s journey underscores his belief in diversification and his talent for transforming visions into successful business ventures.

Kareem “Doc” Louallen, co-founder of The Beat 139 Podcast, is renowned for his visionary leadership and dedication to community empowerment. A native of Harlem, Doc has been involved in the music industry since the late 1980s, including founding Diamond Back Entertainment. Kareem also brings an incredible commitment to community-focused initiatives. Through The Beat 139 Podcast, Doc aims to go beyond entertainment by offering a platform for aspiring voices and promoting community unity through engaging and inspiring content.

Keith “Cash” McCrory is an accomplished entrepreneur and Brand Ambassador for The Beat 139 Podcast. Cash is celebrated for his expertise in orchestrating impactful marketing and branding initiatives, making a significant mark in the artist and entertainment industry. His strategic vision and dynamic approach continue to elevate the brands he represents.

Theodore Thompson is a dedicated community advocate for the youth and the elderly. Through his work with The Beat 139 Podcast, which features a range of guests from the Mayor of New York City to emerging artists, Theodore positively impacts the lives of seniors and children alike. A native New Yorker, Theodore bridges generational gaps by fostering meaningful community connections. His initiatives for the elderly include providing support, companionship, and recreational activities in nursing homes. Additionally, Theodore is actively involved in youth outreach programs, offering mentorship and educational opportunities to inspire the next generation. His efforts are instrumental in empowering future leaders and fostering a more connected and positive community.

Gena Lovett is the founder and managing member of Little Wolf Capital and Consulting LLC (LWCC) based in Harlem. With over 20 years of experience in financial services and community volunteer work, LWCC specializes in financial partnerships, capital raising, and consulting. Gena currently serves as the Temporary Executive Vice President of Worldview Development U.S.A., focusing on sustainable development projects and carbon credit sales. In her career years, she has managed day-to-day operations as a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Alexandra Investment Management. Gena is actively involved with various non-profits and advisory boards, contributing her expertise in entrepreneurship, finance, operations, non-profit management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. Her leadership has earned her numerous accolades, including recognition from the Police Athletic League, Junior League of the City of New York, New York Women’s Agenda, and a feature on the cover of Forbes Woman magazine. Gena continues to inspire as a guest speaker and panelist.
